Seeking new employment in Nothern Virginia, having beenreleased 19 years ago, yet today find that many employers will not hire anyone with any felonie convictions. I have lived a clean life since my arrest in 1993 and i have a clean plus 5 safe driving record.

ive recently been convicted of a felony that I did not commit however in NY there is no expungement. My advice to you is to keep trying and never give up. I have lost great jobs recently because of this and im still trying. I would try to apply for a certificate of relief from disabilites. I was granted one and now the nys dept of health has to consider my readmission to employment and give me a chance to explain the circumstances of my conviction.

Im a young girl who was convicted of a felon for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. I had 2 great jobs before being convicted and one after that was ok. I have recently been suspended because the nys dept of health needs to reapprove my employment. This can take 6 months. I have an associates degree and am returning to school in the fall for the nursing program. I was granted a certificate of relief but cant seem to find a job for the time being to pay my monthly restitution fee of 400 a month. Does anyone have any advice to help me speed up the process at the dept of health and make it so they do approve me to work again and soon

You should try soliciting the assistance of your local assemblymen and senators. Oftentimes they are willing to reach out to State Government to help expedite traversing the bureaucratic red tape.

I'm looking for a job in the Dallas,TX area. Must be on the bus and train line from Dart.I would take janitorial, dish washer, housekee ping,Home Health. I have experience in these. The only thing holding me back is my felony. I'm a hard worker. Allways gets the job done. Also early or on time. I just need a job. Fulltime or part-time.
